The dual-fiber series DWDM SFP+ optical module is a type of SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) optical module that adopts Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology. This module utilizes dense wavelength division multiplexing technology to multiplex optical signals of different wavelengths into a single optical fiber for data transmission. At the transmitting end, multiple optical carriers with different wavelengths carrying different signals are coupled into a single optical fiber through a multiplexer for transmission; at the receiving end, these optical signals of different wavelengths are separated by a demultiplexer and processed separately, thereby realizing the simultaneous transmission of multiple signals over a single optical fiber.
The wavelength spacing of DWDM optical modules is very narrow, usually 0.4nm or 0.8nm. A DWDM system can support up to 80 or even more wavelength channels on a single optical fiber, and each channel can support rates up to 10Gbps, 25Gbps, or even higher. It is very suitable for long-distance and large-capacity transmission requirements, and is applicable to the interconnection between wide area networks (WAN) and data centers.
