Overview of Gigac 200G Optical Module/AOC/DAC

Gigac's 200G optical module, AOC, and DAC product line provides comprehensive coverage for the new generation of 200G InfiniBand and 200G Ethernet applications, including but not limited to 200G QSFP56 SR4, 200G QSFP56 FR4, 200G QSFP56 LR4, 200G QSFP-DD 2SR4 and other optical modules, as well as 200G QSFP56 AOC, 200G QSFP-DD AOC, 200G QSFP56 DAC, and 200G QSFP-DD DAC. Among them, all DAC and AOC products support the "break out" application mode.

The 200G QSFP56 SR4 optical module is designed specifically for implementing 200GBASE Ethernet using OM4 multimode fiber, operating at a wavelength of 850nm with a maximum transmission distance of up to 100 meters. It is particularly suitable for internal interconnection of data centers, core layer and distribution layer application scenarios of high-performance computing networks.

The 200G QSFP56 FR4 optical module is specifically developed for single-mode fiber environments, with a working wavelength range of 1295nm to 1309nm. It can support a transmission distance of up to 2 kilometers for 200GBASE Ethernet, especially suitable for 200G Ethernet, data centers, and cloud network environments that require high-speed and long-distance data transmission.

The 200G QSFP56 LR4 optical module is designed for 200GBASE Ethernet transmission over a distance of up to 10 kilometers using single-mode optical fibers. It is suitable for a wide range of scenarios, including but not limited to the construction of 200G Ethernet backbone networks, large-scale data center interconnections, and 5G backhaul networks.

The 200G QSFP-DD 2SR4 optical module can reach a link length of up to 100 meters in a multimode fiber environment, mainly serving the internal connection requirements of data centers under the 2x100GBASE-SR4 Ethernet standard, as well as high-speed interconnection between switches and routers.

As for 200G AOC and DAC products, they are usually used for direct connection between access switches and servers. Especially at the basic level of interconnection, Gigac's branching DAC and AOC solutions can meet various complex requirements beyond traditional direct connected DACs and AOCs. This series of products covers different speed combinations from 200G split to 4x50G, 200G split to 8x25G, and even 200G split to 2X100G, providing more flexible and adaptable interconnection solutions for data centers.
