Optical power meter: Measures the absolute value of optical power.

Visual fault locator (red light source): Checks for fiber continuity and excessive bends.

Optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR): Measures fiber length, loss distribution, and fault location. (Note: Always disconnect the optical module at the other end when using OTDR.)
